Christmas Card 2018

This years Christmas card.
In these times of political correctness I thought I'd be a bit provocative and go in the straight opposite direction to expose how much things can get out of hand.
Some loves this motive I have chosen - they'd swear to live in a world like this, others are fighting hard never to end in society like that again. I just think the whole discussion is getting out of hand.

On that note: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Dee Dee Comics.

Not sure what they mean when they say speed drawing: I figure this took rather a long time to do. Time flies when you're having fun.

Character design challenge - Baroque upper class

I really fancied the theme of this month's character design challenge, why I decided to do a lot of sketches (which for the moment can be found on my instagram profile: https://www.instagram.com/deedeecomics/ 

I ended up with to choices:

 

The Classic Marie Antoinette. I thought, why not make it into a cake advert.

 

And the another classic choice: Wolgang Amadeus Mozart based on the character "Wolfie" from Milos formans movie "Amadeus.

I Ended up choosing Marie Antoinette for the challenge.

As Nordic game Jam is approaching I am now looking back at when I joined last time. We had incredible fun making a really weird and fun farmers game - about milking, well, animals in a farm.

Some 1950'ies gals

Cloé de Mérode

 I've come across this motive of actress Cléo de Mérode, actress of the start 20'th century, and I've often thought I've seen this picture as an art nouveau poster, but I can't really locate it when searching for it. So maybe I was wrong. Instead I decided to try an re-produce the picture in a Toulouse L'autrec style. These two drawings are the result.
